So I took my allaince feral druid to Deepholm after the world server stablized and the crashing cause was discovered. Turns out one has to turn the view distance to minimum near the gunships. Let me tell you
how much that sucked. A zone the size of Dragonblight that requires flying to areas on different tiers...mega suckage. But only near the gunship. And if you were flying along near the gunship, I found
that you simply had to avoid looking at it and you didn't crash. Ok. weird.
So the world server was finally stable enough for me to test the druid trees. I picked THIS
for a cat spec. Seeing as how I was able to get all the manditory cat talents for PvE and still have 5 points left, you get to the "what the fuck" stage. So it appears they
still want you to pick either cat or bear. Because if you dump all the points into the feral tree, you don't have enough points for furor or blessing of the grove.
Those are dps talents that will be pretty manditory. Now I've picked up improved feral charge. Since this isn't implemented yet, it has yet to be seen how useful or useless this
talent will be.
My review I posted in the feedback thread can be found HERE. As I mentioned,
the zone looks fantastic. Visually my eyes just wanted more. The colors are vibrant in a pleasing way. Great job on the art. There weren't that many graphical bugs either. Some of the water in the pools
was a bit spastic and would change location and size depending on camera angle. Some of the rock fragments would also disappear and reappear. But other then that there wasn't too much visually wrong.
Where things started to get a bit less pleasing was with the mobs. They hit really freakin hard! I've got an average ilvl of 272 on this character with gear out of ICC25 heroic and I was having to heal after every
3rd or 4th mob. And so many of the mobs were melee unfriendly. I was able to solo every elite but if I hadn't been a class that could heal i'm not sure I could have downed some of them. Some of them need a bit of tuning.
The quests were your typical collect this or kill that but none ever felt too long or boring. The drop rates on the "collect this" quests felt natural. Not too low but not always 100% either. I do like how the zone is broken into sections
with the use of the 3 world pillar fragments. Some of the travel time between quests or quest givers and the objectives could have been shortened but overall it wasn't too bad. Perhaps the flight time just seemed long
because alot of flying had to be done with the view distance set to low. The rep was good as well. I was honored with both factions, The Earthen Ring and Therazane, without doing any of the dailies. I went into the zone
with zero xp into 82-83 and left the zone with 1 bar left. You need about 5,800,000xp to ding 83. I feel that if I hadn't used flight form to "cheese" some of the quests or stealthed through the caves
full of monsters I would have had to kill otherwise, I would have hit level 83 no problem. I did the zone with zero rested xp at any time and the total play time was around 5 hours. Though I took my time to enjoy the story
and the lore of the zone (lore nerd!). I'd be willing to bet that
when I go back again on another toon the completion time of the zone will be shortened to probably around 2-3 hours (once I can see where i'm going of course).
Overall, Deepholm gets a 10/10 for visuals and an 8/10 for quests. (this can be attributed to some issues with some of the quests, the melee unfriendly mobs that have been reported
and the fact some of the quests are still placeholder objectives).
THE NEW 31 POINT TALENT TREES: DRUID

So it's pretty awesome that I crit for only 6k now with a mangle when on live I'll crit for 10-15k. Guess we all got spoiled by that damn ICC buff and full raid buffs. Also the gear has been "reset". All the arp gems became
crit gems so a regem of agi was required. Guess Blizz wasn't kidding when they said that your number caps were going to be much...much higher. GG!
For a resto PvE Spec I went with THIS build. Pretty much a cookie cutter spec going on here. Anything
else in the resto tree is pretty much for pvp. There are still those residual talents in balance that increase healing and hots that are manditory. Again in order to go down the
resto tree one has to pick between the most useful Natural Shapeshifter and Furor. Two completely useless talents for resto in PVE.
For a resto PvP spec I'd alter the pve spec to THIS. I'm still playing around with talents here and there
and i'll have to be able to get to 85 and go into some BGs or arenas in order to fully make up my mind. I can't ever see Fury of Stormrage being useful ever. And we'll have to see how
usefull or useless the flora heal is.
